vote for my pothole

clearly none of you have ever been to charleston, sc. we have roads here that have 3 foot tall mounds in them. not to mention half the streets are still cobblestone.

Grand Rapids still has a few cobblestone roads, and I think Detroit may still have a few as well.

I grew up in Michigan and when I was in college I had a summer job working for my country road commission where one of my jobs was on road patch crew. The above pictured hole is nothing compared to some I saw. We had some holes that we would have to make 3-4 trips with the dump truck to fill it completely. All the ice, snow, freezing temps and salt up there do a number on the roads. The only state I've been in that had roads as bad was ironically Mississippi.

Man, the biggest pothole I've EVER seen was on I-94 in Detroit near Detroit City Airport. Once you got past the pothole (or the grand canyon as I now refer to it), there were at least 10 cars changing their tires on the shoulder, including myself.

It was cool though. Me and my buddy helped a lady change the tire on a Lincoln limo. In return, she gave us a free night on the town for New Years eve riding through Detroit in the limo.:nice:

We were just helping to be nice, since it was snowing hard and cold as hell and she seemed like she needed help. We didn't want anything in return, but she insisted.
