The big spiderweb crack in the windshield! DOOOOOOH!

Local place is going to give me a new one for $178 installed versus the $200 the salvage yards all want for a used one.

But still...geez.

to answer people questions individually: the car was parked at home, i've still got a large part of the interior ripped out so I haven't been daily driving it. and yes $178 in Atlanta (actually Douglasville) that was quoted to me over the phone "Mr. Greene, that'll be $178 installed, just call us to let us know." I'm going to call them tomorrow to set it up, if it turns out to not be BS, then I'll give you the number. Otherwise, Prestige Mustang over in Clarkston will sell them used for $200.

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade but there is a salvage yard by my parents house in Colorado that sold be a very nice used tinted windshield for my 64.5 for $40 and a brand new tinted one for my 66 for $80. I installed both myself but I enjoyed it. Everything but that crappy bedding compound to seal.

They're easy to install indeed, however I'd rather just let them do it. I can then blame them for any leaks.

Frankly, Atlanta is a long ways from Colorado so getting one from there is unlikely for me.

If it's true, I will drive there from N.C. because I've searched high and low and cannot find a NEW windshield for my 67 less than $500!!!!
