that would could be a possibility for the dart sportsman ill have to look more into that. thanks for the info. and like stated the boss is not overkill when anything is possible in the future. 450rwhp an healthy shot of spray can be done an still be very reliable. its all about doing it right an once. an yeah screw in freeze plugs..glad to see you can read ha. thanks everyone thats being serious an helpin out

When you have a limited budget and your looking for 450hp,YES,boss block is overkill.

what would you suggest then blkstng46? a frpp sportsman? not gonna handle a 275shot very well. an its sure not gonna last as long as a boss or a dart. im buildin it once an the right way. if i wanted only 450hp an wanted to just go n/a i would agree with you. but thats not the way i wanna go. plus for all i know i could boost it in the near future. from what i hear the frpp sportsman is about maxed out at 600-700hp if not less, an thats flywheel numbers. so i dont think its a good choice which also obviously deletes the stock block for being a candidate.

but if you plan on boosting it 10.5 compression is going to be too high.
