warm start up idle surge then die.

Hey guys , well when i let me car sit over night i have no issues starting it and have the idle sit at 1200 rpm then settle down to around 850 rpm but when i have the car running a go to stop and get gas turn off the car then fire it back up the rpms will climb to 1500 then die unless i rev it to 3 grand then it will settle down to 1200 rpm for acouple seconds then hit the 850ish rpm and keep its normal idle, iv checked out the iac valve wich i suspected to be the problem but this all happened after the cam and heads went on, any suggestions would be awsome as it does get annoying having to rev it just to get it to settle to when it should be. Iv herd that a special ford part that sits on the iac valve might work but am not to sure.
