I'm changing to a Victor intake for my 93lx. While installing the thermostat housing the bolt and washer sprung up. The bolt was in the dizzy hole on the support for the dizzy shaft. I was able to grab with one of those grabber thingie. I can't find the washer. I think it may have when down the the pan. I'm using stainless steel hardware so they aren't magnetic.

Do you think it would be alright down there???

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

Stainless steels have varying degrees of magnetism. You may still be able to snag the washer with a magnet.

I wouldnt chance it down there, but then if you feel lucky go for it!Or if you plan to pull the motor and rebuild it?Either way i would pull the pan and see if you can find it,and as Saleen0679 said just cause it's stainless steel dosent mean it's not magnetic and being how it's a automotive bolt i bet it's still magenetic.peace

I got it out. I pull the timing cover, drained the oil and I still didn't see it. The oil pump and the pickup tube blocks the view of the bottom of the pan. I bend up a hanger and went under the oil pump and pickup tube and pulled it to the front and snagged it.
