I've got a 2000 mustang 3.8 v6 the car has been sitting for almost a year. The feul pump went out I just fixed that problem and was checking fluids before a test drive. And I noticed a little water in the oil. The dipstick was not showing over full so not much water and the oil was just a little discolored . There is no misfire, no codes, never got hot, no water or steam out of exhaust no compression in radiator, ran fine until the feul pump went out. I had the hood up and the rear end on jack stands for a while and we've had alot of rain. My question is, could a little water have gotten into the engine from leaving the hood open at an angle in alot of rain? I'm really hoping it's not a head gasket or worse.
