hello i am installing auto meter electric gauge and was wanting to keep my factory gauge is there any where else on the 95 gt where i can install my sender that i may have missed when i looked . i didnt think it would probably be good to tee my sender now with the new one.

as for the oil sender is there some kind of extension that threads in to the block that is taped a few places because i will have two senders and an oil line to my turbo
thanks

Vortech makes a tee that will fit the oil sender. I used a dab of liquid teflon to seal it all up. Pull a vortech installation manual for an S-trim 94/95 to see.

Don't tee temp senders. The Tee creates an alcove of coolant, and your senders *each* need to be in the actual stream/flow of coolant.

On the fox, I used a dead port on the rear of the lower intake. Most 94-95's I've seen dont have this port. I relocated the stock sender to the t-stat housing. Then the AM sender went into the stock location. This is best because the stock location is most accurate. The t-stat housing idea isnt great because if the stat sticks, the gauge doesn't reflect actual engine temps. However, it keeps the gauge active and the stock gauge is so useless that it's not to be relied upon anyhow.

You can get a cast stat housing with a 3/8" NPT port for 10 bucks at AZ. The Ford Chrome housing is an alternative. Or tap your OEM stat housing.

The last option is to make a Tee fitting and install it in the passenger side lines (I.e. the one leading to the ECT - an accurate line to be in). In this instance a Tee works since you're putting the sender in the stream of coolant (you're not teeing two senders).

Random ramblings.

Good luck.

Wes had a real nice idea for the oil sender. If it gets too cramped, consider running a braided line from the block to a remote location. Then create a manifold with ports for all your senders and turbo lines. Guys have done this at the PS bracket or near the underhood fusebox.

Good luck.

Guess Im just lazy. When I installed my Autometer gauges, for the water temp I used the stock location and then took the needle off of the stock gauge and put it approximately where it was when stock. Not functional but at least it looks good. I just hated looking at it sitting bottomed out to the left. Just me though.
