well this is going on an x parts car, so it's a hellish mess. The bolts aren't present, and i havn't a clue what they are supposed to be. I know a few of them have extra thin heads on them. who is henry j?

The ford dealership.

i had a similar problem with my car this summer when i replaced my water pump. I snapped one of the studs off. I just went to a junkyard and ripped them out of another 5.0 the friggen ford dealership wanted about 40 bucks for the set. i got them for five at the junkyard. good luck

you can get them from lowes for prob. $2-3. I too paid $8 for ONE bolt from Ford, so screw that. I had a diagram that shows the sizes you'll need, but it's a bad format, so here's a document I also saved...it's timing cover bolts, but since most of the water pump bolts are also timing cover bolts...

One 5/16 x 5½ inch @ $.47, Item # 55819.
Six 5/16 x 2 inch @ $.16 each, Item # 63319.
Three 5/16 x 4 inch @ $.28 each, Item # 63322
One 5/16 x ? inch @ $. , Item # ?????

Edit: Those bolt sizes, I assume, are for 87-93, so I'm not sure if that's gonna matter or not, but just in case...

You might have to bolt your A/C Bracket down w/ your water pump bolts, or figure something out there. Otherwise, the double sided bolts that hold the water pump down on one side and the A/C bracket on the other are $8 each from ford.
