Looks real good Michael. That setup would definately be the ticket for my water pump setup. I'm planning on more street driving with my car this year and that would definately take care of the inconvenience of having to manually cycle the coolant till up to temperature.
EMW150: Did you notice any difference in power when you added the EWP? Was it similar to to the gain of underdrive pullies or more or less?
I will probally do it for the controll factor alone. HP gain is also a plus. I will only be running the alternator. Still don't know what I am going to do about that. March sells a kit for that setup but they want near $300 just for the brackets.

Probably 10 or so horsepower. You said it though...the control factor and also the fact of running so much cooler at the track helps ET and gives you peace of mind. I kept shredding serp belts when at the track with the mechanical pump, I don't know if it was the high rpm I shift at or what but it kept shredding them into 1/8" strings if you know what I mean. The width of the grooves in the crank pulley. I tried running it real tight to keep it from spinning on the pulley and I tried it with normal deflection of about 1/2" or so. That's the main reason I switched to the electric. Every 3rd pass it was eating a belt. When I converted it, I bucked up and bought the March bracket kit. It is a really nice setup but I know what you mean. It's pricey for what you get.
It wasn't a Mustang but a buddy's LT1 Camaro. On the LT1 waterpumps are camshaft driven, so same thing really. Thier's are really cheap because you keep the stock pump, just replace the guts with the electric parts. Install took some grinding, but otherwise wasn't that bad. It is quiet, sounds like a small electric fan. It is a CSI unit. Well, it made a difference no doubt. His engine temp stayed down like it did with the stock pump and the LT1's EWP's are only 35gpm. I think I will definatly get an EWP.
