Here is my hood after SSR1 follow by Nattys BLUE. I now have a couple coats of Nattys RED over the blue which gave it a little more darker warmer look.
My paint is pretty spotless. I claybar and wax every 3 months or so, so the paint is welltaken care of. However, their are a few minor swirls in the paint and they drive me insane. I want the surface to look like a freakin' mirror. I'll look into PBW products. Thanks.
If you clay that often you actually are introducint micro marring/scratches into your paint as well. Simple clay bar test: Take a plastic bag and run your hand across the finish, if its smooth no need to clay, if its rough clay away! Another point to make on here is that Wax does not care what color the paint is. WAX IS WAX, the properties of it does not change with the color. Yes all wax is not created equal but when people always ask which wax to use on black (or insert another color) it just matters in the quality and how it is applied and taken off.
Carnaubas offer more of a warmer look. Syn offers more of a clearer reflective look. Different waxes do add different depth and clarity to finishes. I do agree 99 percent of the final out come is in the actual polishing and prep stages.
