ways to tighten up the front end

Well I have replace a bunch of front end parts in hopes that it would help tighten up my steering. I seem to have some slack and wondering even after an alignment. The wheel is as easy to turn as my moms lincoln town car I dont want it that easy to turn. Any possible solutions would be appreciated.

convert it to manual steering? thats about the only way to tighten up the steering. if you want better handling you need to get a lower k member brace and a strut tower brace along with poly bushings on everything

with the manual rack, how hard is it to make tight turns do you have to muscle it around?

Caster/camber plates & set the caster a 3 degrees or more. That will cause the front wheels to try to lift the car when they turn from center. It will also reduce road wander.

3 degress more, not less. You want to avoid negative caster at all costs. Negative caster inhibits wheel shimmy (why do you think motorcycles do so well with all that positive caster and shopping carts with the negative do that shimmy crap?).

Also, are you sure that everything is tightened down - no play in the rack, no looseness in the inner and outter tie rod ends, and that the bearing are not worn out and need tightening down?

Only at a dead stop, the faster you move the easier it is to turn the wheel. But with those low ratio racks out there it's no where near as hard as the cars of old were.
