Does any one know where I can get a Weber carb set up for an '86 N/A Stang? I checked Summet and Jeggs and nothing!?

Thanks, Brandon

I would check out Racer Walsh, Inc. Home they have been known to carry some interesting parts like that.

Yeah Racer Walsh, or Esslinger Engineering are probably your only bets for that.

Pretty sure they both carry dual sidedraft setups, possibly dual downdraft as well.

Did this on my 86 2.3L 2 years ago. VERY easy to do. All you need to do is go to the junkyard and find ANY 74-82 2.3L. Remove the EGR plate that the carb sits on along with the carb, throttle cable and bracket. Also take the distributor as you will not be able to use your tfi distributor anymore. Go buy a Weber DFEV. Swap the linkage out of the 2 barrel Ford carb (it's actually a customized DFEV) into your DFEV and install your new EGR spacer, carb, throttle cable, and cable bracket. It will all bolt together perfectly. Remove the computer harness and the tfi distributor. Install the duraspark distributor and hook the vacuum advance line to an intake vacuum source. You can either fire the ignition system with an MSD box or use a factory duraspark box. Wiring is simple for either and directions can be found for the duraspark setup by googling for them and the MSD directions are available on their website. Set the distributor in with the rotor in as close a position as you can to where the tfi distributor's was. Put everything together and try to fire up the engine. Once you get it to start, first get your timing to about 10A (vacuum line unplugged from the advance and capped. at idle (750rpms). Then reconnect the vacuum line and it should run fairly well. Idle mix and speed adjustments will be necessary. Take it out for a spin and then continue tuning. All said and done:

Junkyard carb for parts and throttle cable stuff $35
Junkyard EGR spacer $10
Junkyard distributor $20
Junkyard duraspark box (if you go that route) $25
Weber DFEV and filter $300
MSD setup with tach adapter (if you go that route) $250
