As far as my mods go list in my sig.. do you guys honestly think (I know it will effect me a lot at the track) but do you think my subwoofer box (100+lbs) will effect me *A LOT* racing from a launch/roll.. I mean.. I know it will effect me as far as tenths.. but I mean car lengths? Obviously I know it depends on the cars I'm racing.. some examples: 03 Monte Carlo SS V6.. and a Prelude all riced out.. no major mods.. don't know what year... any feedback will be cool.. just was conerned about my sub box slowing me down a crap load.. thanks guys.

Monte Carlo and Lude? Unless heavily modified you should win easy.

Ok cool.. so pretty much.. don't worry about the sub box? I should be cool with my mods? I mean.. in general.. not only with the Carlo and the Lude... I know without the subs I'd obviously be going faster due to lesser weight.. but it shouldn't make a noticable difference.. right?

My box is 200 lbs and is built from inside the trunk, couldn't get it out if i wanted to (not even for my spare...) but it wont matter that much, maybe a tenth for that 100lbs, cant imagine any more than that.. I wouldn't worry about that at all, just make more power

Dropping or adding 100lbs to your car, you will DEFINATELY notice it. When my friend rides with me...... it's like night and day.

Ran with my bro in the car first time down the track (close to 200lbs) and was less than a tenth off from all my other runs.. probly SOTP more than actual time difference. Theoreticly shouldn't matter more than a tenth or so

Ok cool.. thanks for the reply.. I see you got a nice system.. good stuff.. and I obviously see that you've don't got a 'speed issue' either so I'm all good as well. Thanks again for the replys.

well i have two e12a's powered by two avionixx 800.2's in a fiber glass box i made for the back and i can say everytime i dont have it in it seems like light and day.... thats just my personal oppinion because with all of that in the car its like a another person being in your car 35lbs+35lbs+10lbs+10lbs= 90lbs right there and thats excluding the box probably add another 50 for that i would think just depends what your preferences are ... to be honest i really dont ride around that much with my system in the car and dont plane to till i get my kenne bell intercooled kit installed guess id just rather have speed over entertainment

Really? I thought it would be a little bit more than that. You're covering a lot of ground at 100mph in a tenth of a second.

EDIT: Oh yeah, as for the Monte and the Prelude.....don't worry about them. Hell, leave your e-brake on while you're racing them to give them a little hope.
