what can i do to take of some wheight in my car besides removing the back seat and taking out the spare and jack

Depending on how much you weigh, you could drop off 20 lbs or so there...

Great suggestion

If you want to reduce weight one of the most overlooked places is the wheels. Get some Weld Racing Prostars and that should cutoff at least 50 lbs. Take your air condidtioning compressor out also will save some weight. The most common way besides what you listed is removing the front sway bar. Weighs about 25 or so lbs...this will also help weight transfer. Take a look at that site and you will see everything you can take out. Good luck!

DAMN! I think I am gonna start lookin for a T-56 now that I know what they weigh. I think I have a 3650 so I might gain 10lbs so what, I'm gettin a chrom molly K-member & A arms sometime this year anyway.

My point exactly, I wasn't trying to be sarcastic....Most people over look this easy way of reducing weight.

Someone mentioned rims which is a very good way to reduce weight. It helps in two ways. First, you're reducing weight on the car. Second, you're reducing rotational mass. If the car has to turn the wheels, and the wheels now weigh less, you'll put more power to the ground.

not to mention if you are running welds you will most likely be running some stickier tires to so that would help. also a positive thing would be an aftermarket hood, not only does it look good but it weighs less than the stocker.
