my car only has 1200 miles on it. When I hit a bump I hear this squeak time of rubbing or something coming from the back right of the car. It also happens when I go around a left turn when the body rolls. I have noticed that every once in a while it will do it also if I yank the e-brake when I exit the car. I just had exhaust put on but it seems funny that it could be my muffs or something. I dont' want to take it to ford because they will not find anything wrong. What could this be.

I'd have some one else drive your car slowly over a curb like in  between a parking lot and street while you put your ears right up to the right rear to see if that is where it is comming from. Could just be a normal squeek too.

I had a similar situation with a 02 GT. Starting off in reverse, or 1st gear I would hear an odd squeaking sound. It ended up being the right rear control arm bushing. The mechanic simply loosened it up, sprayed some silicone lube on the bushing, and tightened it back up. It's been fine since...

I've got this creak too, and when I posted about it, others said they have it too. It's strange how it's only on the right side in the back. Anyhow, I'm afraid to have Ford mess with it because I don't want them to make it worse. I've just kind of gotten used to it. I'd like to hear if anyone has actually found a fix for this.

I had a squeek in my GT. It truned out being a bracket that needed to be adjusted. The way we found it was I had someone push on the car (making it go up and down), then I was able to look under the car to locate the sound.

The only thing I dont' understand is that it doesnt' happen all the time and when it does I can hear it over my radio. It is loud, but other times not so loud. Doesn't make sense. i think I am going to go back to the guy that did my exhaust and see if anything is rubbing when I hit bumps etc. and if that isn't it i'll go back to.........ford

<--- totaly newbe..

This may sound really dumb but check the rear seat. I had the same thing on my 00 gt and it was the split rear seat not hitting the clasp tight..
