Weird orange wire not connected to anything?

its on the wire harness where all the fuel injectors are. its coming from out back like behind the salt and pepper shakers and its about a foot long, no terminal on the end of it or anything. whats it for and/or where does it go?

HEGO sensor ground?


There's also a Tan/Orange that goes to injector 7...

whats a hego sensor for? and then should it be grounded?

btw, i checked all injector wires and they are all connected

HEGO = Heated Exchange Gas and Oxygen, or some ****zle like that. It's your O2 sensor. Yeah it needs to be grounded, though I'm not sure what it is doing up there. I'll look and see if I have an orange wire up there tomorrow and where it goes.

HEGO is heated exhaust gas oxygen sensor, or in everyday terms O2 sensor.

Sounds to me like that wire is for the injector harness. Feel around the back of the drivers side head twards the block. You will probubly find a bolt with the other end of that wire attached to it. If you do thats whare it grounds at.

many people dont have the HEGO ground hooked up - careless shops, etc. no heating w/o it, but the o2 still works. ground the thing somewhere and forget it. good luck.
