Last week I removed the smog and a/c pump and ran an 81" short belt, but it kept walking off (away from the motor) and shredding. I thought maybe my pulleys were out of line, but when I put the smog and a/c pump back on and ran the 105.5" stock size belt, it's fine.
Any ideas on why the short belt is giving me problems?
Also, since temporarily using the short belt, my battery light in the dash has been on. Only code I get is #34 for the EGR (which I deleted and am still trying to perfect my rigging system) which I don't think has anything to do with it.
