Weird start

once and a while when i start up my 03 gt it makes a ticking sound and then fires up. but it never doesnt start it just ticks for a while can anyone help me

sounds like your starter is starting to got out......But just to clarify it clicks first and then it start to crank and start right???

i turn the key to start it and it goes tick tick tick tick the vroom not to sound gay but thats how it goes

could also just be a bad connection somewhere off the battery or relay or right at the starter.

the weird thing about it is normally it happens right when i get gas or am under a quarter tank

well for me rule of thumb i never let my tank go under a 1/4 of a tank... but check the connections at the starter

yeah i normally never let it go low like that but i wasnt first owner either so i think i may have ford take a look at it monday cause i wanna start moding and i dont want **** to go wrong how much hp do you have with you mods?

that would be agood idea since it's should still be under warranty, but im also leaning towards somewhere along the fuel pump itself. Consider checking the fuel filter, pump, pressure regulator also

with a voltmeter and get a haynes manual to get all the voltage specs on those things i cant remember them of the top of my head...........cause something is not getting voltage due to a bad connection or something
