I noticed today that the top of my rear bumper is warped. Right below the license plate. It's not flat across it is wavy. Anyone else have this? It's not something you would normally notice you have to run your hand across that part of the bumper.

Mine was like that also I just loosened the bumper and straightened it out and then retightened it. Haven't had a problem since.

Depending on what side it's on mine was on the passenger side. you need to remove the trunk liner and behind that you should see two nuts these hold the bumper to the fender. Then you also need to remove the screws in the wheel well there is two of them (I think). This should give you enough play to bend the bumper back to normal. Mine wasn't warped it was just pinched out of alignment and loosening the screws and pushing it straight worked.

My girlfriends 00 GT had the same problem but it was caused by her sitting there The bumper was already damaged and was replaced shortly after so it really didn't matter. I am glad you guys were able to straighten it out. The body shop did not think there was anyway of fixing the warp other than replacement. 2 months later it was rearended at again. Tomorrow it goes in to get the bumper replaced once again.
