Can anybody please give me a good suggestion on how to weld my new set of floor pans? I purchased the full LH and RH floor pans. Some people I've talked to says to leave l1/2 inch so I can just lay the new floor pans on top and weld. What do yo guys think?

The front, rear, and outside should be welded as original. The trans tunnel can be lap welded to make it easy, if you like you can trim the excess off underneath later.

Thanks guys.. Been doing some sheetmetal work on the old girl. Just finished replacing the shock tower. Moving to the floor pans and subframe connector.
