Welding in Sub Frames

Got sub frames, just curious if I can weld away next to the gas/brake lines, or is there some trick to do it the right way...

Pull the brake/fuel lines away from where you are going to weld and make sure you have clean metal to weld to. I covered my lines with a leather apron before we struck an arc...make sure the car is sitting with the weight on the suspension before welding.
