I have an SLP Loudmouth (LM 1) that I'd like to weld some mufflers into. The reason for this is that I've gone with an O/R X and when paired with the loudmouth, this is hideously loud. Normally that's cool with me, but its a daily driver, and the car isn't fast enough to justify being that loud

My question is this - what mufflers will fit. It seems like I need an offset in/offset out muffler due to the way the LM is configured under the car. SLP makes their PowerFlo mufflers, which I know will fit, but they're a bit pricey IMHO. Optimally I'd like to go with Magnaflows, but I'm having trouble finding offset in/out magnaflows (stainless, cuz I live in the Arctic - commonly known as Boston,MA). Any help would be appreciated, or any suggestions for another stainless muffler that would fit would be great too.

FYI the car is an 04 GT.

Thanks guys.

u can buy SLPs mufflers that will swap right into the place where the resonators are as you know...theres no need for welding a high quality modular catback system...the offsets are different and ud just be destroying what the SLP system is designed to do...just get the powerflow mufflers from slp...ull make the money up in having someone try to weld in mufflers that wont work...save urself the time and just gett he powerflows

im condisering the same thing. thinking either sportsman streets or pro-streets. ive been looking at this pic of my LM and wouldnt a center/center muffler fit? also i dont know that welding would be necessary. it would probably be better than using the band-clamps slp supplies, but i think its borla, sells much wider band clamps that would seal the slip fit up pretty good. im just wondering about clearance issues with the size of the spintechs compared to the LM resonators. in the pic they look pretty close to the driveshaft. maybe its just the angle. anyway, i have a set of LM2's that will be here monday. i'll measure the exact dimensions of the LM's and try to find a suitable spintech replacement muffler. i know they have 2.5" inlet/outlets, just dont know the exact length. i have some extra cash coming my way. maybe i'll let my car be the experimental goat.

yeah, i do

but i really am considering the spintechs if my LM2's dont work to my liking.

and venom97, if i had a digicam, i would make some vids as soon as i got them on. unfortunately, my old roommate moved to baltimore and took his sony with him. if anyone i know has one i'll see if i can borrow it. there is another guy who has the LM2's and just got an MRT H-pipe. says he will post vids of them soon. i'll let you know when i see them.
