I finished the front and rear 5 lug conversion on my LX and Now i have no brakes at all, after bleeding it 3 times, the right way, im wondering if it has to do with the Stainless steel lines the car had on it when i bought it, maybe the banjo bolt from the sn95 car wont work with it, considering it is thinner at the end of the brake line, any suggestions, this is pissing me off.

di you pull the guts out of the proportioning valve thats built into the m/c and install the manuall one supplied in the kit?
I dont know if this could cause those symptoms, just thinking out loud....
When you blead the brakes did everything seem normal? IE: the fluid came through, the level in the mc dropped, you topped it off, etc...
Is there fluid leaking from the connection you are talking about (the banjo bolt)?
When I did mine, I had to get a different female fitting for one of the connections on the pass side of the firewall, but I think this would only have affected the rears...
Did you put the bigger m/c and booster on when you did the kit?

I still have rear drums, I changed the rears first, and it worked fine, then i changed the front and all hell broke loose, Ive checked all fittings and no leaks. i got the calipers at the wrecking yard could those be bad, im just going to buy the 13in cobra brakes if those are bad.
Well if the calipers have been in a yard for awhile I guess they could be froze, the little pistons can rust / sieze in the bores from moisture and stuff.... does the pedal seem to pump up real hard? It should if they are froze, if it goes to the floor and feels all spongey then its probably a leak either external or internal (inside the mc). Kinda hard to say... can ya give any more specs about symptoms, etc...

well i replaced the front calipers and still nothing, and the cadillac tech next door helped me bleed the whole system, including the MC, he says its probably the MC gone bad. Also the brakes will pump up when the car is shut off but soon as you start the car it goes all the way to the floor and it wont pump up anymore.
sounds like the brake booster or M/C to me. i had the brake booster go out on my van and thats what it did. i could also hear a hisssssss noise from it as well if you have to replace it it's a bitch, atleast it was on my caravan !05drive said:
