Well, I did it... went thru another set of tires

I can't believe I put 36K on my Michelins already or that I've burned thru them so fast. It's not MY fault though! It's Kenne Bell's fault. I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT! My brain says NO, but my foot says YES, which is controlled by the KB demon.

While I did like the Pilot Sports, I went back to the Kumho's, the Ecsta MX's this time. I had Ecsta 712's before and liked them. They actually wore quite well. My first set were 275/35 all around. The Michelin's were 295 rear, 265 front. This time I went with:
295/35/18 rear
275/35/18 front
I didn't like the look of the 265's on the 18x9.5" Cobra R's

Reason I didn't go back to the Pilot Sports was a cost factor. Since I have this demon living in my car now that loves to eat tires, and I'm sure I'll go thru tires more now than before, I'll stick with the lower cost of the Kumho's, which are still great tires.

Should have them on this weekend. Total, shipping included, was $888

Did you ever get your boost-a-spark installed? Mine is still in the box too. I have been too busy to put it in. Life is too hectic these days. I still have the same ole drivability problem , but KB will work with me when I am ready. It is getting below 0 here lately so I don't have the ambition or the time to get to it. I am thinking in about 3 to 4 weeks before I can get back to it.

I am getting VERY interested in Cobrakiller's tune. I knew he would be "The Man" to put onto these things. It just took a little proding from people to get him started. But now that he is in, he is a believer. I sure wish he lived closer to me.

The numbers are in standard measurements except the temp, it's the langauge that's in Hangul, so most can't read it: 443rwhp, 459 torque @ 6100rpm. I'll scan what I have and post it, although I have been hesitant to do so cuz we're going to hear the same things as always; is it SAE? Is it a reliable dyno machine? Did they read it right? Do they know what they're doing? You know the stories.

BAS is still here... soon. I wish they could figure out what's wrong with yours. I got lucky with the chip and all I guess. And I know what you mean about the cold, it's the same here, in fact still snowing from last nights storm, and the temps are single digit all the time AT BEST. She'll be parked for a couple days until the roads clear, which is usually very quick around here. No problems as the weather gets cold... still runs well, and the heater works great!

Yea, I'm interested to see what Cobra Killer can do as well, and will get one from him when they're ready. It's a chip? Or is he working on a flash?

YES - It's an expensive hobby for sure... but so much damn fun. And I agree, 36K on tires now a days is OK by me. I got 25K on the first Kumho's before I put on the Michelins and they were not worn yet... just wanted something bigger
