Well, I have decided to part out the mustang and trade it in on something new. I'm at a point in my life where I cant afford to keep pouring money into it .
I have been looking at 08/09 Ford Escapes and F-150's.

I took the mongoose kit off today, and it will be up in the classifieds tomorrow. This weekend I will take the headers/x-pipe off... It will be sad to see it go, but eventually I will get another mustang to play with.

I have a couple questions-

1) How is the best way to ship my wheels and tires? I will put them on ebay, but I dont know what the cheap and easiest way to ship them is... any ideas?

2) I am now throwing 3 codes after taking the mongoose kit off - p1131(bank 1 lean), p1151(bank 2 lean), and p1233 (FPDM offline). What would I be getting these codes? Could they have to do with the cobra tank and pumps being still installed?

That blows dude. I would also like to know aboot the SC. I would say the codes could be fixed by returning the stock tune to it

Slowly but surely all the old faithfuls are leaving.
Exactly why I stopped sinking any $ into the cobra...after a while it seems most get to the point where they just get bummed about sinking so much into their stang and sell out. I have seen it happen MANY MANY times.

Anyways, we will miss you bro!

Those are the ones who have no intention on keeping their cars. I plan to keep mine as long as humanly possible. So when i'm freaking 90 i can still go out and cruise in it. I feel bad for people that let their cars go. Thats just my opinion though. I'm sure you'll have another one someday. Good luck man

When I first got my '03 GT, I had visions of many mods...but something happened along the way, I don't know exactly what, and I just became content with it being a moderately powered cruiser with enough kick to get the job done.

I think it lies in knowing some limits or boundaries. I don't plan on ever letting the GT go. It's got 92K miles on it, I'm planning on taking it well into the 6-digit territory, and it's still kicking as hard as it did on day one.

If money were no object, yes, there'd be more in the stable...I truly, truly desire a Cobra of some sort but sanity keeps me in check...it's less practical than a GT for a daily driver but it would make for a great toy.

When my girlfriend and I settle down and get a house, there will be another mustang in my garage. But right now I need something more versatile that I dont have to worry about the winter in. AT least I am going to get another Ford!

I was told I could get 9500 for my car, is that decent?

Yes, 9500 is a good price on an 02
I willbe sorry to see her go though I understand the financial stuff though. I had to sell my 96 Cobra and was way heartbroken about it but then this other one just fell into my lap
Good luck in your journey and save for a 4V next time

Agreed ... I plan on keeping my girls. If anything I'd add to the stable but LIFE gets in the way and shifting priorities.
Kudos for looking to the future, and hopefully a mustang awaits!!

$9500. Cash is good. $9500. trade in to a dealer means nothing.
Its all about total price of the Escape and the interest rate/months financed.
