hey all i wanted to tell you that i blew up my t-5 today i had my slicks on cause i was going to the track saturday and my friends wanted me to do a burnout and boom!! tranny went. had it towed to a shop. and its completely done! dont exactly know what to do since im on a high school budget just know that im pissed i wont get to race this season

yup.......sry to hear about the tranny bro...i know teh feeling when you have a sweet car and then **** goes bad....like when some dumbass careens me at 37.7 in a 25........yes i measured the tire tracks, got the co-efficient of friction, and did the physics.......

depends on how there driven. Lots of T-5's out there w/ 500 HP to the wheels

same thing just happened to me a few weeks ago....I bought a rebuilt from Liberty Gear here in michigan....I think you can order them from there....paid 690 out the door....dont know if that helps

Could be worse....I let my 20 yr old son take a run in my '95 Cobra at Englishtown on opening night...and he blew my engine! He slipped it into neutral after he trapped and overspun the engine. End result = cracked block & other assundry problems. Don't know why he did it, and he couldn't tell me why; but we all do stupid stuff at some point. Feel better, you just have to replace a tranny!

I broke my t-5 in michigan coming home getting on an entrance ramp to I-94. Took 2 teeth off second (which I found out later). Drove 350 mi. back to chicago on that tranny too. I just had to crank the radio cuz it was making hella noise. Since then, I rebuilt with a g-force rebuild kit and its going good. But then again I only run street tires, all the time.
