Whats this round consist of?
anyway, within the next week, steeda caster camber plates, steeda g-trac brace, mac 1-5/8 ceramic longtubes, mac prochamber, mac catback, and a performer rpm. after that, a 306 is in the works since it has a bit of blow by.the drivers seat is the only important one.urban96 said:looks fun... how come only 1 racing seat?
well, im going to try to put the motor off for as long as possible. i decided on the 306 over a 331 or 347 because with the 306, the heads, cam, and exhaust setup that i have now are ideal and i will only need the shortblock. if i go 331/347, i will need the whole longblock as well as all the exhaust stuff since the stuff i have now would absolutely choke a stroker motor. its all about saving money at this point for me. i think a 306 forged rotating assembly in a sportsman block with about 12psi will be plenty to satisfy me anyway.94GTLaserRC said:Rog: You should have explained the deal with this at the beginning.
StangGT1995.. I have a Power adder and was gonna sell it to fund the motor...but I want both, even though it will be 1 year or 2 down the road for the motor.

The Difference with that situation and mine is that my WHOLE bottom end is stock..I would need a long block anyway, and the pricing is not that much different between a 306 and 331 for a long block. Having said that, I dont know if at first I can afford both that AND a new exhaust sytem, and mine too would choke a blown stroker, but I would still get some great use out of it. If a 306 were a LOT less $$, I would get that, and upgrade the block, and Id still be looking at 500hp range with the Vortech and Meth Inj kit.Green 94 5.0 said:well, im going to try to put the motor off for as long as possible. i decided on the 306 over a 331 or 347 because with the 306, the heads, cam, and exhaust setup that i have now are ideal and i will only need the shortblock. if i go 331/347, i will need the whole longblock as well as all the exhaust stuff since the stuff i have now would absolutely choke a stroker motor. its all about saving money at this point for me. i think a 306 forged rotating assembly in a sportsman block with about 12psi will be plenty to satisfy me anyway.
