well toke the car to a transmission shop to see if the clunking noise was comming from the tranny and the tech was like thats all in your motor bud

so i am like fck:mad: but not surprized i was just hoping it was the tranny

i admit i did see my oil gauge dip to 0 and pop back up to normal then dip again and pop back up but i was thinking hmm maybe my sensor is going bad because the car did not over heat or act funny

anyways after a 30min drive i was down shifting to come to a stop at the ligth and thats when i heard the banging, clunking sound

the car sounds horrible and i hate not being able to drive my car

so with money tight i am tring to thing of the best way to do this

1. junkyard get shortblock get a shop to clean it up then install it my self

2. just put the car in the shop let them get and install a new/used shortblock and just pay them

3. let the car sit (for about 4-5 months)save for the mmr 900 shortblock and have it installed

god i hate not being able to drive my baby

If i were you id honestly wait and get a built engine. Id say if something broke, dont replace it with something that could easily break again. The other option would be get a junkyard block, and replace the internals with forged ones. I would hate to see anyone wreck an engine, replace it, just to have it blow up on them. I feel for you, being without the stang for a few days is rough :(

ouch! If you have the option of letting the car sit...then save the money and do it right.
If you need to get back on the road, then get the junkyard block.
Your SC needs a more conservative tune(am guessing since you blew up your motor)
If you ditch the SC then its gone, and you'll be stuck NA or re-spending the money down the road to get it back.

Have you talked to Tim yet? Also, was the car dynoed to check the a/f ratio? Sorry to hear your car broke man, its the worst thing to not be able to drive it for any extended period of time like that. Hope it gets back up very soon.

yea i think i may have had some kind of oil pressure failer

not sure how or even if that was the problem all i know is never seen my oil sensor jump from normal to 0 then normal then back again

maybe it was telling me something and i was thinking my sensor is bad

my tune was not the problem and after kicking out 4k for the blower i'm not going to sell it maybe just take it off the car for now

good thing i have a second car to kick around town a 95 caviler to get to and from work....

i posted this before but here it is again my a/f and dyno run

so as i said before its not the tune

i had a tick before the blower that i was thinking was comming from the tranny and i just think that it just got worst from running the car with the add hp

You lost oil pressure? Could be oil line to your blower was blocked or leaking real bad... Drive down to Georgia and have MPH do your car next time.

How many miles were on the motor before the blower, you the only owner? This coulda just been an old motor with worn out parts.

Why not just buy new crank/rods/pistons (or even just rod/pistons) with assorted bearings and such and have a local engine shop assemble it for you?

Hope you get everything figured out man, good luck!

so far as the ticking i was checking the car and it sounded like the tranny not the motor

the motor was used with 50k on it
it may have been just worn-out

what i should have done was did it rigth the first time when i had the money for the blower i should had just get the forged block first then save up again for the blower hehe

o well whats done is done

i think i am going to remove the blower from the car and store it put the car back to stock , put a car cover over the car and let it sit

save up for the mmr 900 shortblock and maybe get a set of ported heads with blower camms

and just put the car back together in march

I dont think the blower killed the car...I think it was on its way out, but the S/Cjust brought it on a little sooner.

If your engine is loosing oil pressure then your screwed anyways...especially when you add more power. And being used, you have no idea what the previous owner did to the car.

I can tell you this, if my car looses oil pressure...its getting shut down IMMEDIATLY. No pulling over to the sholder, stopping and then shutting it down....its getting shut down ASAP.
