hey guys,
ok the night before last i got my engine out to change my oil pan gasket, RMS, and pilot bearing, and to do some cleaning(oil everywhere from pan gasket). but when i dropped my pan and started cleaning on it i noticed this brown sandy looking type stuff settled in the bottem of the pan. it also had really tiny metal shavings in it. tiny as in like a dust, but my dad said that was normal wear.??
but i ask a mechanic at work and he said the brown stuff in the pan was coolent in the oil....
so was the mechanic right??? do i have coolent in my oil, and are those dust like shavings normal wear?? err.....
