well ****..

so i just redid the motor, if you haven't already read as much. i did so because of a spun bearing. now i have another knocking. It doesn't flutter like the rod did and it's gotten a little louder. it sounds like its coming from the left bank, its much quieter on the right. i can still hear it under the car on the driver's side, but as on the top end, its much quieter on the passenger side. i still have oil pressure, it fluctuates on the gauge. but now at idle it runs a full gauge line lower than at 1000rpm and up. with the spun bearing, i lost all oil pressure at idle. i had a speed shop guy tell me he thinks its either a dead lifter or just excessive play. I'm almost certain it's not a rod, due to the fact that over the weekend i had a brand new charger by a car length and a half from red light to 80mph. what's the easiest way to check as it's already going to be a pain in the ass since my gt40's sit so high that i have to take the upper intake off to even get to the valve cover bolts. also, i heard about a dollar bill test on the exhaust to check for a rod knock, can someone elaborate?
