went for a ride in a 600 hp saleen

my buddy went to go buy a 2002 saleen mustang, 2 buddys came along and took videos.. This car was insane! While i was underhood i checked the oil and found the Milky oil. blown head gasket/ sucks because he was about to buy it till then

Mods are,
05 gt500 brembo brakes,
2003 cobra motor ported polished upper lower intake
vortec Supercharged at 12 psi
blowby
4:10's
Subframe connectors
Pullys
Full exhaust.. Borla

I was terrified! We were in a parking lot, That thing jumped high no prob, and stopped on the dime.
Heres some pics, im uploading vids now..

id like to see the dyno sheets, my friend has an 03 kb'd cobra pusing 15psi and he dynoed at 540 with full exhaust and bolt ons

My guess... that car has been ABUSED through it's life. Milky oil on a motor swap with lowish boost, those tires on it etc. Probably better h didn't buy it.

As far as 600 hp goes, yeah it can be fun. I spent a whole Mustang cruise hanging out the window of a 600+ rwhp Saleen/Cobra (yeah, a real one) taking pics of other cars. Imagine being out the window of the car as he accelerates to make sure you get every car in the pics!

I asked him all about it, But he wouldnt tell me.. Supposibly its impossible.. To the eye i could see he cut and welded the slide to expand and god knows what else

So did they take the stock eaton supercharger off the "03 Cobra" engine, and then put on a Vortech, and changed the whole set-up?

If it was a "real" 03/04 Cobra engine, I do not understand why anyone would do that, but oh well.

I am with 25thMustang - probably beaten all of it's life...

600 HP is fun.

I wouldnt doubt that the car was beaten on.. The way the guy drove it, looked like he knew what he was doing though.. And i give him props on handleing the car the way he did.. The head gasket was blown before he did that by the way, he looked suprised and took it to get an oil change after i pointed it out.. The car is badace, i have a link to youtube that his car was dyno'd at 520 before he did some upgrades. And when he was dynoing it one coil was shot. He also owns a twin turbo fox mustang w/ a 351 bored and stroked that runs 9's all day.. Theirs a link on youtube of that video 2.. Heres the one with the saleen

Just because on knows how to drive, doesn't mean it wasn't beat. After all the only way to get good at driving is to beat on a car. Mine gets abused all the time, I just try and take care of it after I'm done beating it!

exactly. I would never drive my car like that if I was trying to make a sale. Yes it shows you thats what the car can do but it also shows you that he probably does that more often than not. Either way..badass car

man, i can't believe how everyone's bashing on him for beating a car.. ****, if i had a 600 whp car, you bet your ass i'd be beating on it. in fact, i'd beat on myself if i didn't.. think about how hardcore we all drool over 1000 HP cars... NOW imagine those same cars shelled up in a garage or a car museum; no one driving them, no one laying down that power... pissed yet?
