Went to car show yesterday

Saw some really nice cars, but not enough stangs and no 94-95s:nonono: The small event was eventually taken over by pimp mobiles, one was a 85 Monte with 26" rims! And another was a 72 Olds 442 vert but it looked like a friggin 4WD. I guess Im just old school, I just don't get it. A few cars had so much bondo they would wave at you as you walked by :notnice: Hell I almost thought about popping the hood on my little daily driver LOL!! It was more worthy to show than some of those cars

You guys have the whole 50 cent, St Louis rapper thing going on out there. They kinda put SL on the Rap Map, so everyone out there thinks they're a Gangsta.

I get around to a lot of small towns, here in Ohio. They all seem to have different types of cars as their "preferred" hot rod. Some towns seem to like old pickup trucks with flat (wood) beds. Some like newer turbo diesels. Some like rice burners. Some like good ole musclecars. Some (GACK!) like "Donks". They ALL seem to have a place for Mustangs, though.

If there is nothing for you at a particular show, seems like to you could check out some other area in SL or even the outskirts for some cool cars.

50 is NY,

STL is Nelly, Tina/Ike Turner, Chuck Berry, Cedric the entertainer, Tom Cruise (as a child) Harry Caray and family and on and on and on. One of my buddies dads is friends with the guy who got Nelly and his producer together/going, his son in law called him on knowing him...put him on 3 way like whatup.

St. Louis is the murder capital of the US...or at least we fight with Detroit for the 1 and 2 spot. Watch Natl. lampoons vacation when they hit the East side. The bad areas are gangsta only the kids in the burbs act like idots like everywere else in the US thinking they are. Anyone who came for a WFC at GIR will be able to tell you about the "fun" that can go on over on the E-side some nice adult entertainment.

The cars poboy is talking about are not the norm around here at most shows. There are several more normal shows around. The national vett club had a BIG show last month and went to the orig. vett plant IIRC. There is a place called Chuck-A-Burger that has shows (think American graffiti). There used to be a great street sceen but it has been crushed by police...damn ricers. Many others at parks/dealerships from spring-fall.

:nice: I am sincerely happy that I don't know that difference.

Let me qualify that I am not one to listen to a lot of rap myself most of it is old school runDMC or Beastie's and about the newest stuff I have listened to is Dre's Chronic and Snoop dogs first album. I am more a RATM/TOOL kinda guy honestly...I knew 50 is from NY because I read cnn/MSNmoney a lot at work while I am running reports and his house burned down a little while ago.

I really like the "mechanical" sound of Tool. I really like "Vicarious". Very cool with all of the stuff going on in the song and it all fits and works together. It is a serious "speaker blower" if it comes on in the car. ;) Their videos are always BADA$$, too.
