Went to get a paint estimate to have my front bumper, trunk, side skirts, and side scoops resprayed, and they quoted me $1250. How's that sound to you guys? It's a hot rod shop I was reccomended to so I know it would be quality work. It looks ok now I just want them redone to take care of the road rash they took up over the last 10 years. Hopefully I can talk them down once I tell them we have a shop and I can referr people to them.

I got my cobra bumper sprayed and installed, along with my trunk getting the four original spoiler holes filled and resprayed for 700, but thats black, which i believe is a bit cheaper then white as far as material goes. If its good work, it sounds right as s/cblack95gt said.

Cool...thanks for the replies, makes my wallet feel better forking it over. Zero Signal, this isn't a complet job, just the trunk, front bumper, skirts, and scoops. I know I'll feel muuuuuuuch better once it's done.

dang yalls parts of the u.s must be expensive. paint jobs down here in texas cost about 750 for prep and paint with materials, and they last a good 5-6 years and look as good as factory. maybe it is just me and my friend get hookups  , cuz he only charged me and my friend 45 each to paint our hoods we had bought, and that was with block sanding and prep and paint.

Honestly, I dont know how someone can stay in business doing this, even buying the cheapest/lowest grade of paint/clear.. Let alone time and labor block sanding and preping for paint.

You can't even purchase the materials to paint ONE hood, this cheap :D

honestly, i didnt understand it either, and it prolly sounds like i am bs'in but this guy is a good friend of ours, and he does so much for work for so many people around here he has overstock on all kinds of paints. my and my friends cars happen to be black, so it isnt to hard to paint match our cars :D

You guys need to make some friends with people that do side jobs. I have a friend who has a shop...I know you guys are going to hate me after this...He is prepping/sanding/painting, wet sanding/and buffing my front bumper, new cobra r hood, both fenders and roof for $200 plus paint booth time and paint. In all it is going to cost me around $400. His work is some of the highest quality work around my area, he painted my entire car 2 years ago for $1200. I have abused the hell out of my pain and it still looks as good as the day it left the shop!
