So I headed out to my local Grudge night at Sac Raceway Sat. night. I was hoping to improve upon my best time of 10.41@136 with a 1.59 60ft. I mainly wanted to improve my 60ft time, so I've been spending the majority of my time lately fine tuning my suspension. I felt I had everything I needed to go 1.4x 60's. Everything was pointing back to the tires I was using as the reason why it wasn't going 1.4's. I was using 26x11.5x15 Et Streets that were used and about 2 1/2 yrs. old. So I mounted up some new 26x10x15 ET Drags and headed back out there. First run I revved it to 4k and sidestepped the clutch and it slightly bogged to a..

10.31@136 with 1.51 60

I knew if I revved it to around 4500 it was gonna hook up nice so thats what I did on my next pass, here's the timeslip...

I was stoked to see the 1.44 light up on the board while driving! I knew it was gonna be a great pass :nice: When I got my timeslip and seen the 10.13 I knew that all my hard work I've been spending on the suspension paid off. I can really say now that 9's are right around the corner ...The car I raced in the other lane was my cousin Zack. I've posted pics of his purple coupe on the FR-500's before. We just bolted up his S-Trim blower this week to see if we could get him into the 10's. I wanted to congratulate him on getting there, he deserves it :hail2: He already has plans of going faster at next months grudge night. ( pulley change, new tires, Methanol)

Awesome times!

What upper and lowers are you running on the rear?

Thanks! Baseline suspension uppers and MM Xtreme duty weight jacker lowers.

Cars moving man, definately impressive. Did you guys grab video of the race or no? any photos?

Thanks man :flag:..Yeah I have a few vids but I'm having problems uploading them to my computer ..When I hook up the USB cable it tells me I need to install Macromedia flash player?? I've uploaded vids before but now its telling me this. Anyone know where I can download this for free??

Love this car, post more info about the suspension setup. How much room do you have around the coilovers up front?

Thanks for the props!
Baseline suspension uppers, ARB, and MM Xtreme duty weight jacker lowers
PA Racing K-member with coilovers
lakewood 70/30's up front, Strange 10 way adjustables in the rear
Stock rear springs with 1 coil cut.

The coilovers are clear, They don't hit anything. The brake line is close but it still clears.

I was there & when i seen the way you hooked off the line, I knew it was a new best for you....Congrats bro!!!:flag:

Matts car is the fastest home built, 5 speed, non power shifting stang in Northern California that I know of...He lifts on every shift & still runs 10.1!!!:hail2:

Its bout time Zack got into the 10's...congrats to him too!!!!

Thanks Epik! I need a way to upload these vids!

So powershift it for one pass and it'll be a 9 sec rig! Sick times man.

Thanks dude. I've thought about it, but I want to be able to run 9.99 shifting the same way I am now. I just need a better 60ft :nice:

Is that your nice blue car you are running at the track? If so, edit your sig for you new FAST TIME!!! Nice job man!!

Thanks!! Yup it sure is the blue one :flag: Yeah I edited it to show my N/A times and with the S-Trim.

I agree, hit those gears just slighty harder and it might snag a 9.99... Which would be a feat! :D

It will definitely be a feat. I will probably frame the timeslip!!! LOL
