Well, i decided to take the car to the track in Sealy with the 3.73's for the first time. Last time out with just x-pipe, catback,. and K&N filter it ran [email protected] w/ a 2.1 60'
We headed out to the track and it was fairly cool outside. Here is the weather and elevation info
Elevation : 200 feet
Temp: 60
Humidity: 90%
Tires: BFG KDW2 275/35/18
Anyways, i let the car cool and then ran. Had to get used to the tires and ran a 13.75@101. The MPH i think dropped due to me having to shift in 4th and spinning for a good while into 2nd (This **** kept happening all night).
I got lucky when a Nova blew transmission fluid onto the track at the tree and they had to re-prep it in that area and i was the 2nd car to go after that
. This is the result
60' 1.97
1/8 ET: 8.73
1/8 MPH: 81.08
1/4 ET: 13.59
1/4 MPH: 101.37
Even though i obviously hooked of the line very well, the track felt like ice into 2nd and even a bit into 3rd. I managed to bark the tires into 4th. Somehow my MPH dropped 1.5mph from my best WITHOUT gears, so i know something was wrong They were completely neglecting the track and wouldn't do **** about it when we told them. I don't even spin the tires that much on the street, just bark 2nd, but i was spinning for a good 2 seconds and it was KILLING my MPH and hurting the ET's as well.
The track conditions SUCKED to say the least. Guys with ET Streets were freakin spinning into 2nd and we complained, but nothing got done. This got worse and worse as the night went on. After the first few runs, i pretty much gave up because somehow i couldnt pull better than a 2.6 60' on my new tires. My friend in a Formula was cutting 2.2's on freakin DR's. They shut down early and we were pretty pissed off.
Lets just say i'm gonna make the drive out to Baytown next time if things don't change quick at Sealy.
With that kind of 60' and with good track prep, i believe this car will easily see 13.4's with just catback, x-pipe, K&N filter, and 3.73's

After the third run, where I bogged off the line, missed 4th gear and lost to a bone stock sti, I gave up in disgust and left.
