Well guys after going back and forth I've decided to trade my GT in and get an 08 Corvette.

My last day with the car will be sometime next week when I go sign the papers. Im going to miss her but moving on to bigger and SLOWER things. LOL I test drove a few and they much much slower than my car BUT much better every where else other than speed.

Im getting an 08 Victory Red Coupe with standard 6spd and transparent top. Car should be here around first of the year which means I wont be able to drive it for like 3-4 months after I get it.
Any way just thought Id let you guys know and Ill get some pics up when she comes in.

Sweet! Word on the street is I'm looking for an C5 FRC...

Edit: and yeah, my dad and I looked at C6 vettes for him a couple months ago, and they are damn slow stock compared to cars like ours lol... Sad thing is cam only vette will absolutely destroy my car in a straight line, and throw a set of shocks on it and they out handle my car like its nothing lol...

FRC would be sweet!

Yea it is a shame how much slower they are but the 08 comes with the LS3 so it makes a little more power and my friend just got his 08 and he ran 12.4s at 116 which isn't to bad for a stock car. All the 05-07s have beein running 13.0s around here so the LS3 picked up about .6.

The interior and ride comfort in the C6s though are

I think most of us can agree that a Vette is a worthy vehicle to replace the Stang with.

Yea I’m in College, the Shelby is half mine, my dad and I share that, though I drive it more.

I've been working 40+hrs a week during the summer since I was like 13 and working during school 20+hrs a week for quite a few years, so I have some money saved up. My dad has generously helped me out with my Mustang but I’m taking out a $15k loan and should probably have the Corvette paid off by the end of next year. I start working full time again Monday and will be pulling in about 1500 a month.

lol but you forget you are comparing a pretty modded mustang to a stock C6. just think of how much a better platform a C6 is, and how much more badass it will be when the C6 is at the same "Pretty Modded" point your current GT is.....

Yea but Im going to keep the Vette stock......or atleast thats what my plan is. My GT was supposed to stay stock too and that got completley out of hand, hopefuly that doesn't happen to the Vette. HAHA This time I just want to drive it and enjoy it for what it is.

On antother note my friend that used to own a 03 Cobra bought a 06 Corvette awhile back and just ran 11.52 @ 125.7 this in an automatic!

a mustang gt is made to be modded though. i dont think that the c6 vette is a car that needs to be or should be modded. small stuff sure, but i wouldnt want to compramise the value of a car like that by modding it up. a gt with a couple of miles is not worth anything either way but the vette stock will still get a good price come selling time.

did you sell you gt the way it was with all the mods?

Congrats man I would love to have a vette myself....BUT my stang will NEVER EVER go inplace of a vette. Stang is staying no matter what.

So I suppose your just dumping your life savings on the vette and then paying off the rest?

Ill post up some pics of my friends 06 C6 with head and cam pakage, that thing screams he bought it with all the mods on it and with 26,000 miles for $40k wich wasn't bad since it had about $13k worth of mods.

Yes, Im selling the car as is.
