i was running 17x9 fr500's on the front, and 26in M/T et steet slicks on the back with heavy a$$ steal rims.
i just sold my fr500's and slicks and bought a set of race star industires 15x 3.75 and 15x8 rims, with 165-80 fronts and 275-50 goodyear eagle ss drag radials!
And one more thing i just found out, both front brakes were DRAGGING during that pass! the rim would hardly spin when the tire was off the ground! maybe thats why i had no MPH that night!
Very nice that should drop a good 80-90lbs off the car. I went through that same problem with my 2000 the driver side caliper started dragging really bad on mine.
