Hey guys and gals, went out to the track tonight with my buddies and GF. There was a big meet out there and alot of awesome cars.. Now on to the best part of the night. NEW BEST
The car was having trouble hooking up especially on H&R SuperSports and 18" Chromies, but i finally got it down. First run it wasn't too good since i drove straight off the highway and lined up with the car still hot . Let it cool and then let her rip.
1.) Set the 285/35/18 Sumitomos to 30psi
2.) Spare and Jack taken out
3.) Took headlight out
MODS: K&N Drop-In, X-Pipe, Catback
Here are the 3 best runs

60'...2.1293
330ft...5.84
1/8 ET...8.90
1/8 MPH...80.76
1000'..11.5108
1/4 ET...13.70
1/4 MPH..102.72

60'...2.1212
330ft...5.84
1/8 ET...8.91
1/8 MPH...80.52
1000'..11.52
1/4 ET...13.72
1/4 MPH..102.46

60'...2.1422
330ft...5.88
1/8 ET...8.96
1/8 MPH...80.52
1000'..11.57
1/4 ET...13.77
1/4 MPH..102.67

60'...2.1316
330ft...5.83
1/8 ET...8.91
1/8 MPH...80.46
1000'..11.53
1/4 ET...13.73
1/4 MPH..102.39

I was really amazed with this thing and if any of you guys can chime in and let me know what kind times i would be looking at if i had traction with my 102.72 trap speed i would really appreciate it. BTW, On the 13.70 run my stupid ass left the window down...I robbed myself of a 13.6

Next is a set of DR's and some 3.73's with no other power mods...13.3's Here i come

Factory freak?

Nice times. Did the TB and Plenum feel like they were worth the money? I'm hoping to hit 13.5's just on DR's before getting gears or any other mods

Must be nice having a cold track near sea level. -D.A.'s almost all the time. Here you would be running 14.25's.
I wouldnt say factory freak, you have great conditions.

^ DOnt count on it...Houstons humidity is VERY high like all the time.

I ran down there on a very nice feeling day...like somewhere in the 80s I think. Got home and checked it out. Track alt is like 40FT MSL.
After punching in the #s (I was expecting MAYBE 100' DA) it came out to 488' DA. Freegin humidity is a killer for N/A motors....helps FI motors stay away from detonition though.

yeah, a Houston trip is on my wish list sometime.

Nonetheless, those are great times. Dont apologize for benefiting from good conditions. You ran what you ran, be happy and keep working on lower times. The rest of us are just jealous. Hell Im just jealous you have a full 1/4 track. Nothin but backwoods 1000' tracks around here

He didn't run at HRP, though I am in Baytown 4 days a week and don't live far off, so if you are taking a trip there, send me a pm

The cars are currently running quite a bit faster due to these great weather conditions. It's finally cooling down

my accufab set up was good for almost 2mph in my 01. Definitely worth the money if you want cheap little boltons(well kinda cheap)

with some better launching you could easily get into the 13.4 range. with 1.8s i was running 13.1's and 2's in my vert with:

xpipe
4.10s
k/n
nittos
pullies
chip

Yea, the runs were out at Lonestar Raceway Park (Sealy). They made it a 1/4 mile track at the end of September and honestly i like it more than HRP. The track prep isn't as good but the atmosphere and the people working there are really cool. Also, its not a HUGE crowd like HRP is where you have to wait almost 45 minutes and sometimes longer between runs. I hot lapped it and got 13.7's lol.
BTW, humidity down here is CONSTANT. Even with the weather yesterday the humidity was still easily over 50%, but the cool weather helped.
Cody, drive down here sometime and maybe Cam Cam will come out too and the rest of the Houston guys. Should be a good time. :SNSign:

BTW, d98gt, Sealy is only 25 miles away from me, Baytown is 65, so its ALOT more convenient and John Hennessey is really cool with all the local car clubs and track days are really common out here.
