I was gonna say, if you get slicks dont forget the 5500 rpm launch but I did not notice any hardcore rearend upgrades in your sig so... maybe not.

btw, I pulled a 1.8 60' with my 14.1 sec notch. so the key to 11's is deff in your first 60'-1/8 mile.
just my two cents

I would be very happy to run 12.3 however, not bad at all.

MPH is kind of low for the HP. What were the 1/8 times? Belt slip possible? 473 rwhp in a light fox should be moving a bit more on the big end.

i was running on a 26x10.5x15 slick i was having some issues with it breaking up in the top of every gear so ill mess around with that and see what happens. Also my fuel pressure was down to around 30lbs so ill have to see whats going on there too. Then go to the track again.

473RWHP is plenty to go 10's (Been 10.50's @ 125hp with less HP @ 3150lbs), Id suggest a set of MT Drag Radials, they are great on the top end (Stable), and hook just like a slick.

Your mph doesn't show that kind of HP, what was the 1/8th ET and MPH.

I think he meant his engine was "breaking up" on the top end. he may have some issuse in the tuning huh?
but yeh, tire sway is a little sketchy if you ask me. I deff dont like the stability of slicks. think im gonna get some d/r's too.
slicks are so mushy it kinda feels like you driving in sand or somthing past ahlf track. thats just me..

I would take it easy until you get it sorted out, breaking up and low fuel pressure on a stock block isnt good.

I have slicks on my Falcon and MT dr on my Mustang. I don't feel the slick not being stable down the track. It feels no different to me.

imho with almost 500 rwhp you should be much faster in the 1/8th, i was expecting triple digit mph...

Welll I guess my comments were taken a little out of context, my point was purley how nice a DR rides on the top end. My NMRA DR buddies always joke you could put your arm resting on the door it is so stable which sometimes can not be said with a High HP car on the top.

I found 11-13psi HOT on a ET Drag works very well but it really depends on the car, weight bias, weight transfer and launch rpm.

90mph in the 1/8th does not compute out for the RWHP you had on the dyno... You should be around 100+, but you are picking up 27mph out the back so that is good. What was the 330' ?

yea i need weight transfer my car has no weight transfer what so ever even with the front sway bar out. The guy who had the car before me put in these crappy lowering springs that are real stiff i mean you can push and pull on the front end and it will barely move. Im suprised the car even hit a 1.8 60ft. I forgot to mention when i hit second the tires break loose a little so i know im loosing some right there. Also my 330 was a 5.254 and will the car go into the triple digits with 3.55 gears in the 1/8?

:OT:

But where in NH are you from? I'm from Washington, kinda between Concord and Keene. Part of your problem could be driving, I dont mean that in a bad way. With my car the only time I ran it at NEDW with the stick and the 418 it went 11.559@126.66. My 1/8 mile was 7.546@94.84, the car picked up almost 32mph on the top end. My 1/8 mph should have been 100+ but I believe that was my lousy driving. The car now has a C4 and no new track times however. 1.685 short time on BFG drag radials and a 3k launch fwiw. Good luck.
Mike.
