Going back tommorow

Going to change the oil, check the plugs, fuel pressure, and timing, not sure what else I can do.

yeah work on those 60's man. your trap speeds are good for mid 13's, with your combo, i'd figure a tad faster though. get some suspension!

I was expecting low 13s maybe high 12s so I don't know. The plugs look white so thats running rich right. I don't know where we set the timing and the oil hasn't been changed in a while but I don't know what else I can do.

i think white means your running lean, actually. check your timing, set it 14-16. and change your oil! have you ever gotten it tuned?

well your 60' times arent bad at all on the 3rd and 4th runs considering you are running on street tires with 3.73's and some power. If your plugs are whitish that means you are actually running a little lean. I would check the timing and set it to about 12-14° and make sure you arent getting any detonation. What rpm are you shifting at? Times are OK...but your speed says that there are mid to low 13's in there? What rpm are you launching at?

Car should have more mph, and you will get better 60's. You should be in the mid to high 200s to the tire, and that should land you 105+ mph. I would get it on the dyno and check it, sounds like an off tune to me. The 60's will drop with practice, this past weekend I went 1.91 on 18" street radials, and with 106 mph traps was in the high 12s, so you have more in it! Keep trying at it, they will come.

Fuel filter is something extra. Plugs for sure!!! My notch ran WAY better after a new set of plugs gapped slightly smaller!

Yea lean what did I say idk?
The fuel pressure is at 38 so maybe 44 someone said
Timing I am going to check
It feels like its lacking in 3rd and 4th so maybe I can pick up somemore mph
What should I gap the plugs at???

Never tuned
I am shifting at 6000 I think the 4th run I shifted at 5500 but I don't know I think I do it by ear a little... but everone said it sounded like I short shifted on the third and 4th so I think 5500 is to low

Maybe I should move this to tech now.......

I checked the fp and at idle with vacuum off fp was at around 42

So... Only if timing is to far advanced should it be running this lean right?

Or I have maxed out the injectors??

19s should be plenty for that combo. i had similar mods making the same mph as you, i have thumpers, b-cam and a typhoon and N/A i ran a best of 13.3 103 it had alot more in it, could have went high 12s with a tune but then i added the SC and its got more power now.

just get the 60' down

and when you check the FP with the vac line off, make sure you plug the line with your finger

and what i would do, adjust the FP HIGH, like 46 psi
drive the car and feel how its acting, then adjust again and then turn it down to say 35-37 and drive it again. which ever ran better, more or less FP, if it runs better with more pressure then, keep it higher and starting fine tuning it to where it feels good. You cant really find the perfect setting without a dyno.. but you can get in the ballpark.

its hard to say like "run 40 psi" or 35 or whatever, each car is different, even if built with the exact same parts. every engine is a little different and likes different things.

good luck

Just checked timing it was at 10 so I set it at 15, I was told it won't lean the car out it just might ping, but no pinging.

So should I expect much better times this week???
