310 rwhp, 336 rwtq. My original goal for the motor was 300, so now I think it's time to start with the suspension mods...

And I have touched, massaged, and fondled those boobies so as to make them as perky and buxom as possible.

Sweet man, I guess that tuning really helped out. When I talk to you last week you seamed kinda bumped about you HP numbers. Good job

Yeah, I was pretty annoyed for sure. One of the changes I made seems to have done the trick, it picked up 25 ft-lbs of torque for most of the curve. I'm betting on injector timing. Amazing what a difference that one change made in SOTP feel -- and I picked up several MPG as well, which is nice.

Did you get the exhaust installed yet?

Ya, I did it the next day, I have to readjust it. It rattles when I go over a hard bump, but other the that it sounds much faster (but it isn't).

Do you already know where it's hitting? If not -- check clearance to the subframe where the pipes go over the axle, that's usually where I would have problems. Easy to adjust.

I am going to Torque Freaks on the 8th since I am coming over the mountains for the Shelby open track day on the 9th.

Dave,
Would you mind telling what trick did you do to get 25 ft-lbs of torque and how did you increase your MPG? Do you do your own Tweecing?

What made the biggest difference for me was changing the injector timing. Stock is 300*, which is 88* before the exhaust valve closes fully with my current cam. So a significant amount of fuel was getting sucked straight out the exhaust.. To solve this I adjusted the injector timing to fire the injectors right at the instant the valve fully closes.

I do all of my own tweecing, but I keep track of the TwEECer forums and mailing list to keep up to date and learn new things. I also use Chris (Visceral) as a resource, since he's forgotten more about engines & drag racing than I'll ever know.

I have read a little recently about injector timing. I wonder if that would make a larger difference in boosted conditions so raw fuel isn't forced out the exhaust. I will need to see where my Crane 2031 exhaust valve closes.

I have been concentration on getting my injectors tuned and my spark tables. I think I have them close.

Thanks for the tip.

Have you tried EEC Analyzer? IMHO, worth every penny ($48). Very useful for helping you learn things from all those megabytes of datalogging .

I haven't used the EEC Analyzer yet. I have been using an Excel Macro from Walt Barnes to do all my injector slope and offset tuning. I think the EEC Analyzer uses the same principle to calculate new injector slopes by graphing KRAMF VS PW.

Hey Dave,

Did you graph the wideband results versus your logged a/f target, taking into account the kamrf? I would be interested to see the results of a comparrison between the two with a sidebar of pulse width and maf lbs/hr.
So you set up for start pulse timing? Is that normal on the 94/5 strategy?
Glad to hear you got that missing 20 horses found...
