looking for a wet nitrous kit anywhere from say 50-300hp...

heres the ones ive been looking at

http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Products/NOS/NOSNS/SprtmnFog.html

NX Ford EFI race 100-250hp kit.

http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Products/NOS/NOSNS/NOSzle.html

just a few questions...

whats the pros/cons to direct port systems?

what other things will i need? rpm switch? window switch etc....

i'd rather people not say "why dont u get a turbocharger/supercharger" well i think i'll be plenty happy w/ 400ish rwhp on the street and this will be for the track... dont need any more on the street.... and the extra cost of the blower isnt appealing....

thanks

NX (Nitrous Express) all the way, although the NOS noZZle kit is supposed to be very nice but I do not think they make a plug and play kit for a 5.0, just a 4.6. I am not sure how the universal kits fit or go together.

I used a single nozzle kit for a long time and had no issues spraying 175hp, you'll be hooked in no time. If your just looking for up to 175 go single nozzle and you are new to N2O it will make a lot of power and be a simple install.

The direct port fogger kit (8 nozzle) it a PIA to plumb on a EFI car depending on the manifold, very easy on a carb car. This is a race system that has the ebst distribution since it is shooting right into each port, no distribution issues. This type of kit really isn;t for beginers and usually they shoot no lower then 200, my NX shark race kit went 200-600.

As far as accessories there are a ton of ways you can go. IMO You need a pressure gauge, purge valve, bottle heater, window switch is nice, NX TPS voltage activated activation switch, bottle saftey fitting and blowdown tube (need that to be legal at the track).

thanks man thats exactly what i was looking for so i guess its the NX Ford EFI Race 100-250HP i'll be looking for.... or the NOS but i need to find out how the universal kit fits....

question... i know all the accesories you listed besides a NX TPS voltae activated activation switch.... what exactly does this do?

my guess is that if you dont have enough spark it wont activiate the n02?

thanks

Chad instead of using a WOT throttle switch that you bolt on near the Tb that the linkage hits and activate the N2O, the NX TPS switch goes off voltage and will turn the n2o on which is much neater and works better IMO.

Dual stage is nice, especially if you plan on more down the road, just beacuse you have 2 stage doesn't mean you have to use them. For instance I was going to use a 2 stage plate on my D/R combo I was going to use 150-175 off the line then bring in another 350+ around 300ft out, it helps so you don't have large shots hitting the tires to hard for better traction. It is also safer to spray 2 shots (smaller) then 1 large shot when using akit that is not a DIRECT PORT FOGGER. The NX kit uses 2 single nozzles and works very well.

WHats your exact combo, maybe I can help you. I am a N2O junkie at heart but the N2O cars in D/R were not compeditive to I switched to a F1R blower from ATI.
