Today I put a set of new headlights and markers on the new fox. The old ones were absolutely horrible. Check out the pics:

Before:

After:

Now if I can get a decent hood instead of this cheap repro, I've have a really clean looking car. This car is almost perfectly straight, body wise, except for the ill-fitting hood.

Thanks Chung at Blue Oval for the hookup on the lights! They look great.

Best part is, I got a smokin deal on the light set. U-Pull it wanted $75 per headlight for repros, and $20 each for the inside markers, $25 for the outside. These ones were $129 for the full set at Blue Oval. So it was worth escaping work to drive up there, thats for sure.

That is a stock hood? You've got to be kidding me. I figured it was some cheap repro. It doesn't fit for squat. My stepdad and I spent about 45 minutes adjusting the hinges, latches and bumpstops to get it where it is. It was tweaked way more when I got it. If this is a stock ford hood, I guess that means its the front clip thats tweaked. Looks like I'm in for some work!

yeah remember he hit a dog with it... yeah it was way off.. when megan would follow me the hood actually lifted up to where I thought it was going to blow off... so how was your buying experience with the husband and wife .... I mean Megan and randall?

Yeah the hood was way off when I got it, and was missing a hinge bolt. It's amazing how much of a difference a hinge bolt makes, and at 15 cents, I find it quite a bargain.

The buying experience wasn't bad, they seemed like cool people. I'm finding a lot of stuff on this car where I ask myself, "WHY???". Its amazing the lenghts people will go to patch something rather than just do it the right way. But I'm still happy with the car, and don't feel like I got burned or anything.

Hey Mish, do you know which side he hit the dog on? I think 74courier is right. I did some lines in photoshop, and it does appear that its tweaked up on the driver side. Kinda crappy.

just use a masureing{sp} tape and check the distance from both wheel wells to the ground, both corners of the bumper and diagnol from one side of the engine bay to the other to check for squareness.
