I'm not a budget-racer by any means, but I'm still stuck in 5.0 wonderland where everything is considerably less expensive. I've seen whole forged kits for 4.6's for $2500.00... That sounds a little rediculous to me since all you need is the crank, rods, pistons, bearings and rings. $2500 is a Keith Craft 302-> 331 Stroker SB... Why would I pay that much for just internals in a 4.6?

I'd go to www.modularfordpowerhouse.com for them if you still decide to. Think it is cheaper there. I've seen kits on ebay going for 1800 and what not, really depends on the brand. If you call tim over there at MFPH.com he will get you on the right track. good luck

$1800 sounds a little better. I have this disease that will only allow me to spend my money on the best of the best, so I have to compromise with myself and find the best prices cause I already know I'm going to be spending alot. I am incapable of settling for something that will just be ok or just get the job done.... That usually leads to overkill for me to have peace of mind. It looks like Modular Ford Powerhouse is going to be doing quite a bit of work for me soon.

Good deal, they are the best of the best in all aspects. You will get a 100% insanely positive response from ANYONE on this site that has been here for more than a few months if you ask about MFP. Post up when you make up your mind on something and keep us up to date as you get stuff done.
