What am i missing to complete the gap on my 93's steering column? This is the 93
View attachment 260233

And this is my 92 column

the only thing i can think of is that my 92 is a 4 banger and my 93 is a 5.0? Or is it because my 93 is a ssp car? Can someone post pics of both 92's and 93's so i can see what i missing. peace

Smokedya,

It looks as though you have a 92 steering wheel on a 89 dash. My 89GT has the same bottom dash as yours, there is a small ribbed piece that has screws on each end that covers this opening under the column. Probably best found (~$5) at a salvage yard. I don't have a picture, but I know for a fact this is whats missing.

The ribbed piece was my thought too, though I couldnt remember for sure. I just remember that the tabs for the screws are kinda lame and the plastic cracks pretty easy. Be careful if you score one.

^^^ What they said as far as the ribbed piece. I have an 93 5.0 and it has the same lower dash piece. The steering wheel cover on the column does look off, it might be from a different year as stated above.

You need the 90-93 knee pad. Your SSP has a 87-89 knee pad. Prolly cause it would be a PITA to put that trunk button on one

I can see you have the two piece under dash instead of the one that the 90-93's have

That dash panel is pre-90...a 93 should have the same bulging out panel that your 92 has...
