PPI is top of the line. This is an older model. The new models are crap because the company was bought out by another company. I've ordered this one and haven't had a problem.

If all you are looking for is bass ...... try MTX. 2 techs from Fosgate went to MTX. Their class D mono block amps toss out some serious power.

Caps are kinda useless, I mean I have one in my system, but honestly, they dont help voltage that much. Save your money and buy an optima

Well, doesn't running a Optima and a cap together really kinda of overkill? I'd rather not run a optima and just a cap. I did notice a difference in running a cap with my current setup. But I guess it just depends on if you want nice clean sound system or clublike enviroment audio system..
