My current issues in no particular order. . .

1 - Clunking around the tranny output shaft: Possibly bad u-joints, not sure yet
2 - Badly warped rotors
3 - Nearly shot right rear caliper
4 - Engine running consistently hot after ECT change: Possibly air bubble or more likely stuck t-stat
5 - A/C doesn't work: Leaking, who cares, I'm taking it out anyway!

Other then that, the car has been running like new, my only major gripe is the lack of supercharger and tweecer.

Just got in from the garage...long vent..

Mines been down a week just trying to change a freakin t/stat...I believe the custom Mr Gasket 180 deg +/- 2deg t/stat is JUNK.....

I started to notice the temp heading North of 200 a couple times....this time of year, that ain't right around here...Soooo i figure, why not slap in that 180, i still run a stock 192....

long story short..i tryed 3 times last week and it would'nt bleed or the t/stat wouldn't open...W.T.F....this is a simp job...i say screw it and park it....that was last tuesday..
well today i'm on Corral and notice a post on someone doing a w/temp install....guy wants to run both the old and new gage....prob is, you have to remove the stock sending unit for your new gage....only way for both gages is to have one of the FRPP t/stat housing with that "screw" on top...you can remove that and put the old stock sender in....Sweet i tell myself...i have the FRPP housing...and i also have a dead factory gage, its supposed to be a nice day tomorrow, i'll get that F/ng car fixed...
well after all the B.S. to remove the housing, wire up for the sending unit, pull my Autometer sending unit out so i could fill the upper intake(thought it might be airlocked)...its still down....
i let the thing idle for 1/2 hr...my gage doesn't even say its at 180...and the top radiator is still empty....Damn...knew i should have ****canned that t/stat...i even drilled a larger vent hole in the mofo...+/- 2 degs my ass... Should have gone to the Ford garage for t/stat

when i did the h/c 1500 mi ago, the system was working fine..10 mins idling and the coolant sys comes right on line like it should...I been dicking with this for a week and its still porked...Yippee, now i get to remove it for the 4th time...
Only good thing is my factory temp gage came back online... Now all i gotta do is get a Tee for my oil sending unit to get that back...

There I'm done....I still don't feel any better though..

gauges are whack and dont work while the car is running (getting mechanical autometers thursday from jegs)

car puts in too much timing OR the stock fuel pump is falling off and not pumping enough after 4 grand

still not sure what to do here.

I need "tire" again... deciding on whether to get more ET streets or to try some 16 inch nittos

i still have the Part-throttle-cruise miss in the motor that i havent been able to figure out since i did the H/C swap. Tomorrow i am installing 24lb injectors and then switching to the J4J1 cal. on my twEECer maybe that will help. Although it seems like a mechanical problem because it is so consistent.

1. Rear window unglued from fabric, along w/ bad weatherstripping
2. Stinking pinging has reared it's ugly head
3. Check Engine Light from non-functioning EGR
4. Tensioner making noise
5. Battery will die if car sits for more than a day
6. Squeek from steering when turning left at low speed

There's probably more, I just can't think of them now.

My fan only comes on when the air conditioner is on, Which theres also a problem with cause the car doesn't like to idle with the air conditioner on, which leads to dying at stoplights and parking lots...

sigh.. my problems...

1. My mechanic has no work ethic. But he's a good cheap mechanic.
2. I waited 3 months for the custom Art Carr tranny
3. Waited 2 weeks for a job that he said will only take a day.
4. Got it back. But it was all jacked up.
5. Gave it back to him and told him to fix it.
6. There'a whine in the new tranny he tells me. Sends it back to Art Carr.
7. It's been three more months and I haven't seen the car since. Hopefully that will change this week. And if it's not the tranny, then it's the computer.

Well, the intent was not that, it was for us to look up and down the list and see if we can help anyone out with these...For example, I have helped a lot of people with the window problem.

I know some of you can help the others here with the clutch problems.

What I may do in a day or so is put a link to this thread and see if anyone can start listing SOLUTIONS to these problems.

I need to wire up the new driver's seat belt buckle-long story.
There is a squeek coming from the transmission when the clutch pedal is engaged.
My gas mileage went south (from 17 to 10) for no apparent reason. I think I need new O2 sensors.
The old 5.0 uses a little oil, but doesn't smoke.
Finish wiring up the oil pressure gauge.
Cigarette lighter quit working.
New Fluidyne radiator has a nice 'small' leak.
I think that's about it.

1) My front struts have 135,000 miles on them and leak more oil then Iraq.
2) I have a fluidyne and temps still rise(may be the crap stock gauge).
3) my headlights are so yellow i might as well keep them off at night.
4) drivers side window is out of track so when it's up all the way the door does not close.
5) exhaust leak on the old arse flow tubes where my flow masters were welded on.
6) got new tires and an alignment and now the steering wheel has to be turned right to go straight.
7) year old bass tube drains my battery every year or so cause the amp is going dead.

1.Synchros in tranny (2nd gear pops out to neutral when trying to downshift from 3rd to 2nd)

2.Clutch engages at very top. Could that be the clutch cable or clutch needs to be changed ??

3. Coolant sensor doesnt work ( I think ). My temperature guage works when it feels like it after at least 25minutes of driving. But It will not work 90% of the time.

4.Very weird sound when starting the car. After its started, its perfect. Like marbles stucked somewhere.

I had the same problem. I got the whole thing rebuilt (rings, synchros, etc..) and a couple shift forks. Cost me $200 for parts and $250 labor.

I bought a t5z before they finally rebuilt the old one.
