Have any of you guys messed around with hids? I have been contemplationg just buying white bulbs but hids look so good. If you have hid's how did you run them without wires bein everywhere. And what is the best brands? I'd also like to get halo's but i've been stumped on my search for them too.

There is a place out here in Cali called DDM Tuning. There kits are about 40 bucks. I run there HID kits on my truck, street bike, and here soon my mustang. There kits are really easy to install and have lifetime warranties. Just go on to there website click the bulb type you have and what color and wattage you want for the bulbs. Everything plugs into factory connections, just have to find a place to mount the ballasts. They have slim ballasts for tight places http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-HID-Kit-Slim-Ballast-35W-or-55W or the bigger ballasts for cheaper http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/Apexcone-Raptor-HID-Kit hope this helps.

+1. All of my local stang buddies buy their kits, and I have a set of fogs and hi/lo headlamps from them. Great products, horrible customer service. Lifetime warranty too. They were the first in the game to make HID products inexpensive. I also love that they do BMW stuff, but thats a side note

Honestly you can buy all the mounting hardware, but i just found a clean flat surface and used some 3M 2 sided tape. They wont budge. And the worst you would do is pop a fuse, but i wouldnt worry about it. They have decent instructions online.

agreed. The mounting brackets from them are all of $4 to help you out. You choose, but either way they are meant to be durable as they go in a wet/harsh/unstable environment. Dont sweat the mounting.

Get the 35 watt if you dont want to purchase the additional harness. If you desire the 55 watt kits ( I dont recommend this) then you can with the help of the additional harness they also sell. Your housings were never intended for an HID so I dont recommend getting them, let alone the additonal hassle of the wiring harness. So long as you stay in the 4300-6000 kelvin range you are also enhancing your lumins by multiple quantities, thus giving you more lighting and better looks.

Just my .02

I think you would like the 6k's nice and white with a hint of blue. But if you like the blue tint 8k's are nice to, maybe not as bright.
