So besides mustangs, what are the most beautiful cars ever made in your opinion? Like for instance, even though i love esprits, they are too wedgey to be considered beautiful i think. I mean beautiful as in nice clean lines, no harsh edges etc. The drivetrain has nothing to do with it. So what do you think?

I think:

-Jaguar E-Types / new XKEs
-Porsche 356 / early 911 / 996
-Aston Martin DB4/5/7/9
-Mercedes S-Class (new models)

Can't think of anymore right now...

My all-time Favorites:

1972 H/O Convertible
1963 Corvette Split-Window
1957 and 1963 Thunderbird Roadsters
1972 Iso Grifo
Lamborghini Miura
GT-40
McLaren Can-Am Mk 6 from 1970 Can Am series
Chapparals from same era (white and awesome!)
1969 Dodge Charger Daytona
1970 Plymouth Hemi Barracuda

These come to mind immediately as favorites...

Well you said "besides Mustangs"; so I'd guess that leaves out the '67 coupe/fastback (and, technically the GT500KR 'vert)

So,

'71 Javelin (WHO called a Gremlin????)
Don't remember the exact year - a '50's "Gullwing" Mercedes
the McLaren F1's of the '60s-'70s
'67 Riviera
'33 Stutz Bearcat (wife's uncle has one pictured in "100 Years of the American Auto")
'57 T-bird
'75 Firebird
'34 Packard Phaeton
'61 Galaxie Sunliner
the "Fox" T-birds (don't ask )
'00-and-up Monte Carlo (Think they look great; guy from work took me for a "run" in his blown SS model - OMFG! )

If made by anyone, just not car companies, I would say 29-32 FORD highboy fenderless roadsters, 40 FORD coupes, 63-65 FORD Galaxies, early FORD Woodies and early Pintos (yes Pintos). I guess I'm just an old fart.

I agree with you on this one too. Although most people dont like the way the Sharks look, i think they look great. Especially the S4-GTS models. Not so much the earlier models though. I dont like their front ends.

This is difficult. THis is like asking to define 'beauty' ---grrrr

I am partial to the sleek lines of 87 and up ferraris. especially the newer modenas.

Gremlins!!!!

Seriously, I have to say the new Ford GT (Gt40), or the MkI and II GT40's.
Lines I absolutely cannot resist. Next to that, 69 Fastback!!!

And don't forget the '40 Ford Coupe, the '57 T-Bird. If we include showcars: the Ford Forty-Niner and the 1962 Mustang I and '63 Mustang II.
