You are forgiven snoozer.

I think igotyofire has a Cobra, so he already has GT40 heads.

Woaa, they wont know the difference between GT40 heads and E7 heads? Also does that mean my E7 heads will be refurbished and used as GT40 heads for the next potential customer?

How much would it cost to get GT40 heads regulary? Also how much for the springs?

OMG I wish I would have known this after 4 HG installs over the last 3 months!
That's a great deal. So I guess this means I should hurry up and blow these HG's to put on a pair.

dont believe autozone, i worked there for 4 months, i know how they are, people work there just dont care and probably dont bother looking. go there yourself and actually watch him look up the heads on the computer, ill go there tonight and check it out if my friend is working so i can actually go on the computer myself and look.

What do you ask for then? The head specifically or the heads to certain a vehicle to get the "P" heads? E7's can be used as the core? They don't look at the casting numbers? This sounds too good to be true.

Actually.. I just called az here in Jax... they told me they were 245.00 each !! What ever works I guess, and knowing they are always cheaper " over there.."
Dont ask for the GT40P's or the GT40s ask for the year and model!! Cool?? And all you guys CALL and see!!! By the way my ported E7s will run around the P's... but that isnt the point!! the point is a good head for less money, dont'cha think???

Just me...................

call and ask for heads for a 94 or 95 cobra, that should work, or maybe an explorer. they wont be able to look up "gt-40" heads. they can only look up things for specific vehicles unless you have a part number for them to look up.

Us the search engine as this topic has beat to death... literally. Also, by doing so you can decide for yourself if they will "run around the "P's". Just like the X files said... "the truth is out there."

BTW- A complete 97-newer ford explorer long block can be had for around $800 around here from the junk yards, it has the GT40P heads and the GT40 style intake from the factory. That's a hell of a deal IMHO. You can sell the peices you don't need and recoupe some of your money.
